Applicants

The VERA-2R can be used for risk assessment and risk management of persons who have been accused, arrested or convicted of violent extremist or terrorist offences.

This means that professionals and professional organizations from the criminal justice system, national security agencies, intelligence services, migration services, and law enforcement can apply.

Professionals may be forensic psychologists, forensic psychiatrists, forensic social workers, analysts, and other specialists. They must have analytical expertise and experience in conducting interviews and/or experience in making individual assessments.

Professional authorization

Professionals need a position at a government agency, security service, or international agency with a professional mandate of their organisation or professional authorization to conduct violent extremism risk assessments with individuals.
